The project renovates an apartment through a targeted reconfiguration of the internal layout, the renewal of building systems, and the enhancement of existing elements.
The new layout expands the living area and establishes a direct connection with the kitchen, improving the quality of the spaces while respecting the original structure of the building.
KEY SUSTAINABILITY FEATURES
m2 restored flooring
The original Genoese terrazzo floor was restored and integrated, reducing demolition waste and avoiding the environmental impact of installing new flooring.

Most furnishings were reused from the client’s previous home; only the kitchen and bathroom were newly installed.

The restoration of the original Genoese terrazzo flooring was one of the project’s defining strategies. Carefully repaired and complemented with new yellow terrazzo tiles, it preserves the apartment’s identity while introducing a contemporary accent.
The new layout replaces the traditional sequence of entrance hall, corridor and separate rooms with a more open and continuous spatial organization.
From the entrance, which opens onto the study/guest room, the path continues towards the enlarged living area, now directly connected to the kitchen.
